I want moded it to Fire GL V7100 or X3.
Possible this do? But what should I do next....?
Should I flash a BIOS for this card? Which one should I use?....

Maybe

Can someone please comment on the following statement:

If R430 is a revision of R420, then the R430 should be able to run a R420 BIOS. Similarly, an R480 should be able to run a R420 BIOS. (Assuming core and memory timings are compatible).

Since the X850XT has higher core/mem clocks than an X3, then it should be able to run the X3 BIOS that has lower core/mem clocks. However, since the X800XL has lower core/mem clocks than an X3, you will not be able to run the X3 BIOS, unless the X800XL overclocks well.

With a BIOS editor like RaBit, you could take the X3 BIOS and decrease the core/mem to XL speeds. Note (1) that the X3 has 12 pipes, whereas the XL and XT have 16. I'm not sure what will happen... if the card will run with 16 pipes or if an additional BIOS edit is needed to make it use 16 pipes and therefore be even faster than an original X3! Note (2) Mac versions of X800 have duallink DVI which allows you to run hi-res TFT screens like Apple Cinema 30" Display. PC versions of X800 do not have duallink.

Please report your results!

Last time I checked, you can't flash a video card of one generation to another, you'll just end up killing hundreds of dollars worth of hardware.

Not always true! Remember that most upgrades on this forum are a result of flashing card with a different BIOS because the card has a "better" GPU. i.e. the better GPU was bought running a lower BIOS.

WARNING Don't flash across bus formats, e.g. AGP vs. PCIe, and don't flash across architectures, e.g. memory, geometry engines, pixel pipelines.

Fire X3 has OpenGL optimisations, and a special control panel tab for managing CAD programs. If rendering vertices rather than textures, the X3 BIOS is quicker than "gaming" cards. If rendering textures rather than verticies then the gaming cards are faster.

The real reason to BUY the X3 is the dual DVI out AND one DVI out is DUAL-LINK. This allows hi-res TFT screens. The gaming X800 does not have duallink. Modding gaming card to X3 will not bring these physical benefits, only the software options.

Check http://www.techpowerup.com/bios/ I think it is there already!

If this is not the correct version, try starting a new post, title "BIOS FireGL V7100 PCI-express needed!". You might get lucky.

Sorry, I got the card damaged maybe yesterday, can not boot, seems this 7100 bios does not support most of the X850XT and X800XL chips. If you wanna do it, please think it again.

Double check

DOUBLE CHECK the following:

1./ The device ID (ATI Tool) AND that VBIOS and P/N (ATIWinFlash) show the right info. If not, it will not pick up the correct drivers.

2./ You used -newbios and -f in the flash procedure.

3./ You used the LATEST FireGL drivers from ATI download.

Also, check that BIOS using RaBiT very carefully. The current X3-256 BIOS on techpowerup BIOS downloads is a FAKE. If you need a real X3-256 BIOS, search for one of my other posts where I uploaded it.
