i got a akasa AK-961 cpu cooler on a intel p4 with ht lga 775 i might be upgradeing my cpu cooler is there any better one out there? ie more air flow to cool my cpu better?

it needs to have thermal compound pre-applied

Plenty. Zalman, Arctic Cooling, and Thermaltake all make good heatsinks. Why do they have to have the thermal paste pre-applied? Some Arctic Silver or Arctic Silver Ceramique is much better than the gunk they pre-apply.

i agree with thermopylae, arctic silver is much better quality than the crap they slap on in the first place

o ok ive never had to put any compound on befor thats asll can you post some links on here to coolers that are good

The Freezer 7 Pro has MX-1 pre-applied, and it's as good as AS5.
