After softmodding my Radeon 9800se to Pro, I managed to detect (Using Sis SANDRA 04) that the openGL was not being hardware accelerated i cannot find any info on this site maybe someone else does. the tip for fixing this was to get new graphics drivers from crad manufactuer, this is a no no is there another way around it.
ps. is OpenGL 2.0 availible to download
im grateful to anyones suggestions.

Have you tested it with an OGL game? my SiS Sandra05 says my card isnt VGA compatible and it works just fine(relatively speaking)you want to get GFX drivers from ATI not Card Manufacture as they are usually behind the current sets. You cant "really" D/L OGL2.0 its up to the Driver Set as to whats in there I believe

getting drivers from ATI is all very well but it means the extra 4 pipelines will be locked again. Is it the softmod that is disabling the OpenGL hardware acceleration? the card has advance controls in display settings. with a option to adjust directx+OGL setting but cannot detect changes to these settings.

well you could try Omega's Drivers as they also have the Softmod and have OGL and DX optimizations as well so no reason why they wouldnt work
