Did you apply the thermalpaste the right way?
I should not be possible with that cooler that you reach such high temps.

My brother has that exact same cooler, his Cpu hits 38 degree's load, 33 idle.. I have a Zalman 7000Cnps with around the same temps.. Are you sure its installed properly? Is the copper base flush with your Cpu? Have you considered Chipset coolers?

Not noticably faster.. Cooler though, much cooler, the cooler the better i 'spose. I mounted a fan on my nb heatsink and added a chipset cooler to my sb my Mobo temps average around 20 - 25 degree's now, oposed to 30 - 35 degrees.

Right. :P
Thanks!
Because I am eyeing on zalman NB cooler (flower design, passive cooling, looks cool...). But it is not cheap since in one building is only one shop sell it. That's why I am trying to find excuse to prolong my tempting to buy it until another shop sell it and hope the price can be more relax :twitch: .

My MotherBoard is not ASUS. It's idle temperature is around 38*C. On full load is around 42*C.

chipset cooler advice
vantec iceberq coper, origanaly made for vga chipset use this little buty is cheap and will run for years and stomps any stock cooler i have yet see, its 10bucks or less (usd) and i have them in 50+ systems, only 1 ever failed, and that was due to being cloged with dust so thick the fan couldnt move, the system didnt fail tho, just started to smell burnt dust...HAHA.
they are a great investment and are TOTALY SILENT!!!!! got one on my nf7-s, au13, tforce550, vnf3-250(socket754 nf3) all are far cooler then stock cooling managed and quieter to :)
