Im thinking of building a mATX system for my bedroom but Ive got a problem. The only place I could put a PC and desk would be in the corner that I have my TV in (a 25" CRT on a big unit) and I have one of those digi-eyes connected to the TV which is connected via a long piece of COAX to my downstairs Sky Digital, this is so I can watch and change channels on my SKY but only have 1 subscription ;)

So what I need to know is if I remove the TV from my bedroom but get a TV Card for the PC I plan to build can I wire the COAX into the TV Card and watch SKY via the PC monitor

Use the TV out plug on the back of the sky digital decoder to run a coax cable to the TV tuner on your PC (Use a splitter for both you TV and PC)

All you'll have to do is plug the coax cable into both ends and scan for the signal..

just remember that the reception quality on the card will be lower then on the TV decoder,
pci and usb TV tuners (both analog and digital) dont have a signal amp like TV on sintonizer boxed such as TV decoders, basicly becuase the power drain would be unsustainable on a PCI slot or USB port,

also take in to account signal loss due to wire lenght
