Crucial Technology today announced the immediate availability of its NVIDIA SLI-Ready Ballistix and Ballistix Tracer DDR2 modules. Available in 512MB and 1GB 800MHz Ballistix modules and 1GB 800MHz Ballistix Tracer modules, NVIDIA-certified SLI-Ready Crucial memory provides distinct advantages for both novice and hard core users. These new modules are also EPP(Enhanced Performance Profiles) ready. On SLI-Ready motherboards running NVIDIA chipsets, the custom-designed NVIDIA BIOS can detect the optimized SPD profiles of the EPP-based modules and ensure that the memory functions under the best possible conditions.

Umm... what are they talking about? Standard EPP memory that somehow jumps out if you have an SLI system? Or should we conclude that this somehow won't work in non-SLI systems or only in an N-Force-SLi board???

I'm sure it's good memory, as sure as it is marketeering.

I need to shave.

It works perfect on "non sli optimized" motherboards too. All this is like the agp 4x->8x interface. You'll gain no performance boost, but just an "SLI Optimized" option enabled in BIOS. ;)
