View Full Version : Intel Ends Production of 910/915 Chipset

Intel has scheduled the end of Intel 910/915 chipset production. From now on 945GC with support for Dual Core processors will replace the current Intel 910/915 generation. The market said Intel would sell 910/915 with bundle package, to be more attractive to the market in price. In addition, the new 945GC is designed to working for also upcoming Conroe-L and Pentium E processor. The life end schedule has been announced on 9th Oct, telling that the dead line of order is March 2007, while the last shipment would be 12th Oct 2007. The models included in the production termination are: Intel 910GL LF/910GE LF/915G LF/915GL LF/915P LF/915PL LF/910GE/915G/915GL/915FV/915P and 915PL, 12 in total. The only exception is to the family is Intel 915GV LF. In the mean time, Intel also announced the life end schedule for 955 chipset. The dead line of order is 13th March 2007, while the last shipment date is 12th Oct 2007.

Celeron D4xx (Conroe L FSB533, 512KB L2, 1 core, no VT)
Pentium E1xxx (Conroe L FSB800, 1024KB L2, 1 core, no VT)
Core 2 Duo E4xxx (Conroe FSB1066, 2048KB L2, 1 core, no VT)
Core 2 Duo E6xxx (Conroe FSB1066, 2048/4096KB L2, 2 cores, VT)
Core 2 Quadro Q6xxx (Conroe FSB1066, 8192KB L2, 4 cores, VT)
