Man, if the busses in New York were a bit more like this I'd probably skip the subway a lot more often. This is the "SuperBus," a 30-passenger electric vehicle that can move along at up to 155 mph. It's so fast because it's aerodynamic — so low to the ground that riders can't stand up inside. How do you get passengers in and out of a bus you can't stand up in? Give them all their own door, of course! Yep, 30 doors for 30 riders. If you want to get a ride on the SuperBus, just send it a text message and it'll pick you up along the special speedways designed just for the fancy vehicle. The researchers from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands plan to have a working model ready to go to serve visitors to Beijing during the 2008 Olympics. Meanwhile, hobos everywhere are looking forward to having the most badass place to nap ever.

Unless it has it's own designated path, I don't see the point of going 155mph. Even if it did, generally vehicles with a long wheelbase don't handle too well. Pretty cool nonetheless.

1. It is quite clearly quoted as having it's own custom path
2. A longer wheelbase would be 1000 times more stable on a road. In fact, I have no clue where you get that long wheelbase vehicles don't handle well. They just have an aweful turning radius. Why do you think Top Fuel dragsters are so long, it makes them inherently more stable.
3. As a people mover, the faster you get from point A to point B, the more people you can move and the more money you can make.

I understand the concept of top fuel dragsters. That all has to do with downforce and straight line stability though. The bus is very long thus has a huge turning radius as you said. What i was saying was that if it will be going 155mph, it had better have some huge banks to make its turns. That's really what I meant when I said bad handling. It's not going to be able to make its turns at 155mph in city areas. It's far too long to make 90º and such at those speeds. Not trying to start an argument here though. :)

My bad for skipping over the part that said it had its own pathway though.
