Yes, under a certain age it'll be illegal to "love" fellow TPU members.

(I'd wager I'm one of the 'more ancient' members here, but probably NOT the oldest!)
:)
* "Old-School"...
Sitting here on my "time-machine" (PC, it is what I call them @ times - 'time warping machines' actually), it is hard to believe...
Time passes fast when you're having fun (& for me, especially during my time on these things learning about them)... & it's why I call them "time machines"...
I have spent a great deal of time on them & it seemed to have "rushed by" in a blink of an eye!
APK
P.S.=> I treat everyone the SAME age for the most part, online... I consider whoever I am speaking to in places like forums, the same age as myself... apk

On my 21st birthday i went to the store to buy some beer for later that night.
The stupid girl (15 or 16) in the store asked me if she could see my id. Because you can't buy beer under 16.
Another time when i was already 24 they asked for id when i went to buy some smokes.
I laughed at them and said they could shove it.;)

Got ya... I wouldn't shave your head though man (err, grandma, lol)!
I.E.-> Just let yourself, BE YOURSELF... nobody can take THAT away from you, & there is always that hair dye stuff, but that's a 'vanity expense' & not worth it.
I think folks give you more respect generally when you are older, on the job especially, than when you are younger...
I do @ least, I respect my elders around me immensely, they are generally better to talk to imo, in that they are more mature (w/ out question) & know more 8/10 times.
See, I figure it THIS way:
If someone's lived longer than I have, the odds are generally w/ them that they have seen & experienced more...
Also, the odds also are in their favor, thus, for being better sources of information & experience than younger folks are generally (if they lived their lives educating themselves instead of being idle that is)...

Don't get me wrong: I LOVE KIDS, especially little ones (sub 5 years of age), because they are FUN to teach new things & such! My niece & nephew were a great joy to me over time, & why I say that.
I got to be a kid again, while hanging out w/ them (looking at plants, bugs, & other stuff kids like)... nobody could give me guff about it either, lol!

I have met a couple that qualify on that account, & I can say this:
You younger folks DO have 2 great advantages most of us older folks didn't:
#1. Being the INTERNET (as it is today)!
(Yes, I had the 'advantage' over most folks I knew around my age, of being able to @ least use it SPARINGLY ONLY in the 1980's & it was mainly on UNIX BBS' type systems)...
However, ever since oh, around 1994 or so? That's when the web of today started up imo, & that's when I got "into it" again!
That's when webbrowsers came along (like NetScape &/or MOSAIC)... & the earliest search engine that was GOOD that I can recall in AltaVista!
The web of today is SO much better than Telnet, FTP, Archie, & Gophers, via working the web thru search engines, especially HTML & port 80/8080/443 out there now, blow away the internet of the 1980's & early 1990's... trust me on that account!
More content, better organized & categorized, & better search, AND FASTER BY FAR!
MOST OF ALL?
I remember using 1200-2400 baud modems...
Sure, you didn't NEED as much speed, as the content was often WAY smaller (e.g.-> Programs especially) back then, in the 16-bit world, even for a while during the transition to 32-bit...
STILL, the net until 1998 or so? It was MEGA-SLOW, & the content often questionable as to how well it worked etc. (no time for debugging or critiques of it, not enough folks got to the material yet by that point etc. to do so).
The second advantage you younger folks have?
#2. Older folks (like us)!
By our writing down SO much info. in our time out here, having it 'debugged' & critiqued to "perfection" (or, a more perfected state rather) & publishing it out here online for ALL including yourselves?
WELL, it's yours to grow from... you & I both, stand on the shoulders of giants in THAT area.
Believe me, in my day? We didn't have the amount of TRULY SOLID CONTENT AVAILABLE & getting to it using Telnet, FTP, Archie, &/or Gophers? Not nearly as good or easy.
I say this especially about programming, 1/2 of where this all comes from (the other side being hardware advancing as well)...
I.E./E.G.-> The SHEER wealth of the volume of literature, help files, forums & sites, + EXCELLENT 3rd party controls (like Delphi/C++ Builder VCL &/or ActiveX OLE Server Controls & libs + the amount of code snippets available today are astounding too!)... It's TRULY outstanding by comparison to what we had available in my day, when I was YOUR age(s).
Where'd all that come from? US OLDER DUDES!
:)
* You youngsters? You OWE us I figure... lol!
APK
P.S.=> That's my unbiased & straight take on that... You youngsters are the future & all that, so get out here, learn a TON, get some kick-ass skills & do something wild for us oldsters to use & have fun with... make it a better world, faster, in SOME capacity, & make yourself wealthy too if possible via learning... it's there, take it, do something worthwhile w/ it... apk

Haha I'm 20 and I don't have much money. Get used to it. Especially if you go to college.

Wait, it gets worste, all the tech toys you want, then the GF/wife and the kids... it doesn;t get better. I'd rather be 15 and broke, at least the bills came in someone elses name. Now i'm 26 and broke and they come in my name.
