Eh I'd recommend waiting for the X1650XT, should be cheaper and clock higher. Was supposed to be out in Sept.... so any day now.

And you are an experienced industry insider who has the raw performance data for the RV570 gpu? I dont think so, so your opinion is irreleveant in the face of the fact that no one knows yet.

The X1950 Pro is supposed to be great too, it's what I'm getting for Christmas. Dongle-Less CrossFire, finally! Too bad I have an SLI board.:(

I always beleived the 1800GTO was a bit of a "dog", it can barely match a 7600Gt (can't if its a factory Overclocked 7600GT) which only has a 128Bit memory bus for gods sake and is outperformed generally by the older generation 850XT....whats that all about?

Yes there is potential for unlocking there but many have not so cannot personally see the appeal myself, just my opinion.

If you have PC-I express, I recomend a X1800XT or the new X1950pro.

I believe that the X1650XT is RV560...isn't it? The RV570 is supposed to be the X1950 Pro's GPU, but RV560 is the X1650XT's...not too sure on this though...

They cannot match a x1800gto and if you buy HIS version of it it can be flashed to a x1800xl which I would think would smash any of the x1600 line that exists now. If your say this will be a totally new chip and cards not a pumped up x1600xt then it might be just as you have stated. Also Tatty I will have to check but I had a x1800gto and was looking at a 7600gt aswell and I don't believe the x7600gt matches the x1800gto from what I remeber but Ive been known to to be wrong before. Also Wazzel Doodle or whoever you are no need to personally attack me just prove me wrong WOW!!!!! that was a real kick in the :nutkick: Peace my brother

I am positive that an X1650XT will be able to beat an X1800GTO, it's a completely new core, and much better overall. You obviously don't know much about it, so don't say an X1800GTO will "smash it".

Wazzle wasn't attacking you, he's just saying you're wrong. The X1650XT isn't even out yet, and it's a new core so different perf. from current cores, and you're already saying that it can't compete with an X1800GTO.
