I'm at a solid 90 words per minute, and my record is 135 :D http://www.calculatorcat.com/typing_test/.

Typing something that you are thinking and reading are two different things, well for me at least. I can type what I am thinking a lot faster than what I am trying to read and type. I was getting about 80 words from reading some text (without mistakes). But when I just typed something I was thinking (a proper sentence, not just some random words lol) I was getting upwards of a 100-120. Though my typing skills aren't very consistent either - some days I can type fast and without mistakes, others, well it's not great.

I've done it three times and get about 80wpm. This is the fastest I can go copying stuff. Otherwise Like other people have said I can get more like 90-110 just typing the stuff that I am thinking about.

Something about 60. It really is much harder than typing something you think - and in your native language.

I got 73 here.
Kinda unfair though since most of the time you dont copy a sentence, but make your own.
Hence, you dont have to go through the whole thought process so you type faster.

If you copy-paste, you can get "infinite" speed . On a more serious note, I'm actually a bit more skilled at copying...I don't know why, I just feel more comfortable doing it. Less thinking, I just go on autopilot lol.

I agree, 110%, because that's exactly how I see it, & we are around the SAME numbers (I took a test in 2003 that put me @ 80wpm ERROR-FREE, & I corrected typos as I typed, & this actually HURT me on that test!).
