Hi!

I've an Asus 9550GE(250/200), but I can't tuning it.
For examples:
310/230 - After 2-3mins I start a games, the PC is freeze!
330/240 - The PC is froze at the game's intro:)

What is the max. freq. what my card stand with original cooler?
How can I make 400/300(9600pro), what it don't freeze?

Thanks

Erm.. this is called the "clock speed lock" feature on most 9550 cards.. consider using a hacked driver like Omega, tPU! SoftMod, DNA, etc.. or overcome it completely with a video BIOS flash..

Erm.. is your card a 64-bit edition or a 128-bit edition? and what is the size of the memory on-board..?

128bit, I think samsung 5.0 ram, but i'm not sure!

Someone else was having some trouble finding a suitable BIOS, so here's direct link to my guide to him:
Finding the right BIOS (http://forums.techpowerup.com/showpost.php?p=10625&postcount=137)

It means that you're absolutely sure about what BIOS before you go ahead flashing :)

if so, you can try 9600 Non-Pro BIOS by different manufacturer.. starting from Asus.. but try to keep the clock speed and memory speed within the "9600 Non-Pro" range.. 9550 cards can usually handle speeds around 400MHz for the core.. and for 5ns RAMs, it should be around 200MHz.. try a different BIOS and you may even gain more clocks..

but from what I can see from tPU!'s BIOS collection (http://www.techpowerup.com/bios/), there's no 9600NP version for Asus, consider using BIOS from ATI, PowerColor, GeCube or others..

If your card has the 4.0 Samsung RAM like mine does, try this...

1. Download the Powercolor 9600 Pro bios from this site (the one that shows the 4.0ns Samsung).

2. Edit the file with RaBit, change the core/mem to values you know FOR SURE that your card will run safely.

3. Uninstall your 9550 drivers.

4. Flash in the new BIOS using FlashRom on a floppy diskette.

5. Reboot and Install the drivers. XP will pick the card up as a 'Radeon 9600 Series'.

6. Using ATITool, test your card for overclock stability.

My Results (Maximum Stable Core/Mem Speeds):

Before Flashing - 360/220
After Flashing - 375/265

I've been playing Half Life 2 for the past 3 days without any errors or artifacts whatsoever, using DNA drivers. It's Great!

Thanks the perfect answers!
It works fine. I changed the bios(Powercolor 9600 Pro(RaBit:370/260)) and it seemed ASUS9600XT, but the ASUS driver was incorrect for it. I installed the catalyst4.12 and now it seems RADEON 9600 series, and works without mistake. I tired the 390/285 clockspeed, but it isn't better more(before 23fps,after 24fps), and 1-2pixels sometimes is wrong. Well I use 370/260 speed.
Thanks!!!!
You are GREAT!
