Italian Sausage (the REAL stuff on this one, this varies HUGELY, & if you have NEVER tried real deal stuff here on this one? DO!)

Plus, green peppers & onions (cooked in w/ the meat), & spaghetti (w/ excellent sauce, & it is NOT all the same on this part either)!

:)

* This truly is, the food of the gods... plenty of "anti-oxidants" too!

P.S.=> 10-15 minutes & you are eating VERY well... That was my chow yesterday evening (late actually), & breakfast? Ah, you don't want to KNOW what I have for breakfast (I call it 'the breakfast of champions' but it's anything BUT that...!)... apk

Yeah, breaking news that you are going to have a heart attack by the time you're 40. Eggs are fine by me, but the pork is disgusting. Coke is tollerable every once in a while.

Hehe. While God only knows what McDonalds puts in thier food, I know whats in pork. To quote Jules in "Pulp Fiction", "I don't eat anything that dosen't disregard it's own feces". One of the biggest reasons I don't eat pork is because I have Crohns disease.

What is Crohn’s disease?
Crohn’s disease is an ongoing disorder that causes inflammation of the digestive tract, also referred to as the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. Crohn’s disease can affect any area of the GI tract, from the mouth to the anus, but it most commonly affects the lower part of the small intestine, called the ileum. The swelling extends deep into the lining of the affected organ. The swelling can cause pain and can make the intestines empty frequently, resulting in diarrhea.

Crohn’s disease is an inflammatory bowel disease, the general name for diseases that cause swelling in the intestines. Because the symptoms of Crohn’s disease are similar to other intestinal disorders, such as irritable bowel syndrome and ulcerative colitis, it can be difficult to diagnose. Ulcerative colitis causes inflammation and ulcers in the top layer of the lining of the large intestine. In Crohn’s disease, all layers of the intestine may be involved, and normal healthy bowel can be found between sections of diseased bowel.

Crohn’s disease affects men and women equally and seems to run in some families. About 20 percent of people with Crohn’s disease have a blood relative with some form of inflammatory bowel disease, most often a brother or sister and sometimes a parent or child. Crohn’s disease can occur in people of all age groups, but it is more often diagnosed in people between the ages of 20 and 30. People of Jewish heritage have an increased risk of developing Crohn’s disease, and African Americans are at decreased risk for developing Crohn’s disease.

Crohn’s disease may also be called ileitis or enteritis.:wtf:

Yep and it hurts like a mother fucker. I had to have surgury due to my small intestine and large intestine fuseing together with a fistula. Pork and heavy grease can cause bouts of it. There is no known cure, but I can control it at least.

Didn't have time for breakfast this morning, right now I'm dreaming of fried eggs with cheese sauce on them, crispy bacon, hot hash browns, pancakes with strawberries, vanilla ice cream and maple syrup on them and a big glass of orange juice :p

I have to wait three more hours to get out of work and cook something at my house :(, left some frozen fish out so I will prepare it with white wine, olive oil, lime, garlic and basil, and make some baked potatoes with cheese and butter, and some tossed salad for good measure once I get home :)

God, why did I read this thread, all I can think of now is food :D

Btw, sorry to hear about your disease JC, hope you never have to go through surgery once again :)

Pigs are actually quite clean (and SMART) animals, if they are NOT forced to sit in pigsty's on farms in their own feces as they are often made to do.

I knew a guy w/ a pet pig, & it was CLEAN (far moreso than dogs are, & around same "mentality" as cats have about 'doing the deed' in a box of some type)... and, that animal was DAMN smart, imo @ least, smarter than any dog I had ever seen & just as loveable!

P.S.=> On the topic of diseases mentioned here? Another friend of mine has that Ulcerative Colitis disease, & it almost killed him twice... he has to take steroids on a regular basis to combat it... it's bad stuff! apk

Yep, it's just like Crohns disease, except it affects the large intestine rather than the small intestine. Tell your friend to take fish oil and goji juice, I take both to control my Crohns and it works wonders. Studies have shown that fish oil works MUCH better on Ulcerative Colitis, than on Crohns, so he should really look in to it.

Well, in his case, it is roids usage (prednisone (sp?)), & he had to REALLY lay off drinking... it was killing him, & once he outright LIED to me, & I took him out drinking (he swore to me he was OK too).

I kept stopping @ his house when he was sick, & often I was heading out & I made the mistake of telling him this... he told me he was fine, & it was all good.

Well, I call his place the next day, & his mom told me he was in the hospital and I nearly FLIPPED... I told her to ask him if he said he was fine & she already had & wasn't ticked off @ me, but moreso him.

I chewed him a NEW ONE for that... I don't need to lose pals to stupidity like drinking (especially if someone can't or no longer CAN control it & has a sickness that lends to self-destruction).

Going out & taking a drink once in a bit, usually can't hurt you... but, not when it does end up wrecking you.

Everyone was fairly upset... but, I was the ONLY person that showed up to take him out of the hospital too (and he left early because his insurance (whatever teamsters get) wouldn't cover anymore I found out, & again, he ticked me off w/ that little shenanigan)...

He's TOO money conscious imo, & when I came to get him? He was looking all "grey" and NOT good.

I took him out, he released himself apparently. He was of age to do so. He went & had ANOTHER attack, & I think that FINALLY got his head straight about bleeding to death in his guts...

APK

P.S.=> It wasn't cool, I was extremely PISSED OFF @ him over that, lying to me & setting his life @ risk all to go out & chase women (we were in our 20's then, it makes some sense how much THAT controls your brain - especially in your teens-20's w/ guys)... apk

cheese is probably the best food in the world!

btw, lobster ftw, it's healthier than chicken and steak and fish and it's so much better tasting! at least when it's dipped in butter (which makes is worse than chicken, fish, and steak. DAMN!) i've had lobster very few times (only when visiting my gf's family in maine actually, where it's way cheap compared to normally (6 lobsters for 44$. now that's what i'm talking about)

back to top sentence - there is this yearly publication at my uni called ***** public journal (**is my schoolname) and it asks random questions and people anonymously answer them and it's generally a really funny/informative read

anyways, one of the questions was - would you rather give up cheese or oral sex for the rest of your life. like 83% said oral sex would be ditched. pretty intense imo

cheese is probably the best food in the world!

It's "versatile", this is certain & I often use it in my cooking... melting it over foods, like various meats.

I don't KNOW if this is true or not, but I have heard it is also HIGHLY "radiation resistant", but I have NO idea if this is true or not... perhaps it IS the "hidden manna" (biblical reference).

Agreed - it IS excellent, but COSTLY... one of my favs as well!

:)

If only I lived near a large seaport, like the BOSTON area... or, wherever it is 'farmed/harvested' (Maine?)... I would like that! Probably costs far less there...

I am taking my Mom & little Niece (4 yrs. old) out for lunch shortly...

(As I don't see them too often anymore & miss them both quite a bit, especially my niece, she's my fav. person in this world of ours)
