Well, I got home from school today to find that my card, RAM, and fan had arrived, and eagely opened the box to have a look. I was slightly anxious about lots of people talking about rubbish Mezza RAM that was on the board, and was hoping that I'd got one of the older cards by chance with the Samsung RAM. I was pleasantly surprised when opening the box (I could tell this was one of the newer cards, and so was expecting Mezza mem), to find that the onboard memory was infact made by Hynix. I quickly made note of the part number and went over to the card memory make database to find out about the RAMs speed. However, when looking for this particular kind of RAM on the database, I found that it wasn't on the list.
Here is the info on the RAM:

Make: Hynix
Part #: HY5DU561622DT-5
Size: 256MB

If anyone knows about this particular kind of RAM I'd be interested to know what speed it is and how good it is at overclocking.
Thankyou for your time.

ok, I've looked on the hynix website and found out it's 5.0ns, anybody got any experience of OCing with this memory?

well its rated for 200Mhz can divide the 5ns by 1000

sorry I'm a bit ignorant when it comes to reminology, what does that mean exactly?

you can caluclate your RAM speeds by dividing the nano seconds by 1000 e.g. 1000 divided by 5ns=200Mhz My RAM is 2.8ns so 1000 divided by 2.8=357(now granted an odd number but 350-360 would be a reasonable Rating)

added to the list

Thanks W1zzard :D If you look at the Hynix website they also have some codes for memory types due for release this year.

INSTG8R - right, I see, thanks for the heads up

I found a page in the form of a PDF file which had all their products, including memory for use on graphics cards, which are due for release. Here's the link: http://www.hynix.com/datasheet/ShortForm/2h2004%20SFC-DRAM.pdf
