I need help, i started my comp up like any other time, wait until it has finished its loading then close all the usual crap in the system tray, i then proceed onto firefox, look at a few pages and close it, then went to go back on it and it pauses for ages. Then computer starts to slow up, i then restart the comp, it then goes onto disk checking and finds loads of corrupted files, restores them and starts up again normally, or so i thought.

this is one instance but it doesnt only happen with MSN, cant start up games or anythin

one of my favourite sites :D , but cant enjoy it as you can see as all the borders have gone and the fonts changed

also same sort of problem with EA link and few other programs but they were the only ones i could get at that very moment, the writing on the links are missing and such

Start by deleting temporary internet files and cookies and such. Reinstall firefox. Scan for virusses/adware.

Formatting is much better then a hassale of finding the trouble. Base on your looks you're really gonna have a hard time in diagnosising your computer. Its just one phone call...

That single library/DLL file appears to be the problem... find out if you can get an UNCORRUPTED COPY of it & replace the one you have w/ a "pristine" uncorrupted model!

The file exists on my system here as a PUBLICLY ACCESSIBLE DLL in the %SystemRoot% folder (%WinDir%\system32), & this is where the replacement should happen.

NOW, IF the corrupted one won't allow deletion?

Rename it, & copy in the new uncorrupted one & reboot your system.

* I am NOT 110% sure if this is an OLEServer type library, but if so, you will also have to register it (using regsvr32.exe devenum.dll as the commandline to issue) as well once you reboot & it takes.

No problem (heh, I truly WISH I could say my 'wisdom is infinite', but it's not - I just have seen a few things over time that sunk in):

This is all you USUALLY have to do to get by libraries (dll's) related b.s. & screwups...

:)

* Keep it in mind from now on is all...

(& help the next guy you see w/ the SAME hassle-issue now that you know the way of it for repairing it! What goes around, comes around...)

Ah, down to 1 last error now... let's go "FTW" as you guys call it!

:)

* Humor me: Can you logon as "Administrator" & use that? It appears to be rights related, & if you are using Windows XP's default user, it MAY not have enough "juice" to do this, access control level rights-wise, whereas your Administrator user just may.

P.S.=> Of course, gaming fiends familiar w/ that game may have seen that one before & can help you w/ it, patches or hacks, etc. stuff!

GOOD LUCK, you're almost there... apk
