i am currently running my sys from an old abit is-10 mobo...my case is m-atx....are there any solutions out there for me to increase performance and stability....and also do alittle bit of over clocking on my prescott..?..(by the way, i am aware that with a m-atx i will not be able to overclock too much...just wanna play around alittle bit)...also...should i look for a board with raid capability, as i am unfortunelty ignorant to exactly what that can do for you....

i noticed a decent one here...http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductList.jsp?ThirdCategoryCode=111206&SortBy=B&Brand=ASROCK........
...does that look like it would be a decent solution for me...

...i am simply attempting to expend my knowledge base here, so if anybody feels like helping i would very much appreciate it...thank you..

ps techpowerup kicks ass...and sory for all the spelling errors...i'm SICK AND VERY TIRED....DAMN STREP THROAT

I'm not sure if you'll want my opinion on what I would do in your position, but you're getting it anyway and I hope it helps :p

I think that the best thing would be to stick with what you have at the moment, a new motherboard probably won't have a huge impact on performance. Then you could save up for a while and get a new Dual Core setup which would be far superior to what you have and would allow for the future. Not meaning to cause any offence but some of the older cores like Prescott and my AMD Newcastle aren't really worth upgrading now there has been such a huge advance.

Anyway, that's just my recommendation. If your motherboard has problems it's a different matter, but otherwise I'd say stick with what you have. :toast:
