AMD Announces ATI Radeon X1900 G5 Mac Edition

AMD yesterday announced the ATI Radeon X1900 G5 Mac Edition, a next-generation graphics card that combines workstation-class creative productivity and cutting-edge 3D game performance. Just like a regular X1900GT card it comes with 36 pixel shader processors, 256 MB of video RAM and two DVI ports that are capable of supporting two 30-inch Apple Cinema HD Displays. At an estimated street price of US $349, the ATI Radeon X1900 G5 Mac is now the fastest graphics processor upgrade available for Power Mac G5 Quad and Power Mac G5 Dual systems.

Macs....Well they do eventually get the new games that come out for pc in about 6months. So Im thinking when DX10 comes out and Crysis and stuff theyll have some DX10 games on a Mac in about 2Q 2008

Yeah, amazingly not all games are direct x.. :rolleyes:

WoW, Warcraft series, Diablo series, Starcraft, Most of the major DX games have been ported, All of ID softwares games are available, UT series, Age of empires series, Rise of nations, Halo, Doom 3...

so what if CSS isnt out for mac... we don't want steam's bullcrap invading os x anyways. :slap:

The new core animation is gonna give hopefully a much better Api for animations..

But then again, all you do on your pc is probably pr0n and games anyways...
