Sims 2 not working

hey my sims 2 seems to be not working because of my SB live 24-bit, its got this audigy chip built in it,like i said bare with me i am a complete noob. can someone explain this?

cause i can't seem to get it to work properly,even when i disable the SB live 24-bit.

well it showed some crap like this to me, too. reinstalld the os and it worked fine... but can't say if it'll help :(
