The temps seem to be normal with a stock cooler if your using it. I have a VF900 on my 7900gt with idle temp average of 39 and avg. load at 58. Average +/- 3 degrees celsius and the card is not overclocked. Hope that helps.

edit: Also this is a evga 7900gt-ko with 500mhz core and 750mhz memory.

are you getting artifacts??? have you checked the thermal paste on the core?? have you set the fan to "always run" Do you live in hell??? 70c is a bit high i think....im not a nv man myself but the 68xx 78xx line didnt get that hot(in most cases)....idk about the 79xx line, but tred carefully.....with a 500 core 70c sounds high for any card.....i have 3 ati cards all over 525 core clocks and none get above 60c after hours of gameplay......only one is h20 chilled at 17c idle and 33c load....check the first 2 questions i asked...:rockout:
