I was thinking my friend should buy it sell the cpu and get somthing better... but the mobo is sata 1.5, ddr 400 ram, would it be a good board 4 amd 4x4? he wants a top notch computer when he gets around to buying one. :P

If its good enoguh for quad core than he could get 2 of ati's new dx10 card when they come out:O

i dont think amd 4x4 is going to be made to run on socket 939

its possible that it could run on that but i think socket f is for opteron based servers edit*and according to anandtech that is the socket for the 4x4

so he could get this and get x-fire like 1650xt? thats what this board nb/sb controllers is more for? :P

Yes he could do that, it will run a R600 in the future. There is noting stopping him from doing that.
