i just tried and it posted and got to windows at 550fsb,with 1.45vcore with my 900 ram at 1100.this ram is just awesome too.

there was some strange like high pitched noises coming from the area of the cpu cooler tho'.any ideas.

i might be able to make 550fsb tho'.i cant believe how high this board/chip combo will even post at.let alone even getting to windows.

i think i need some expert help tho' to get my settings right for stability at these high clocks.

any takers willing to give me some tips?

From some guys on XS:

Max FSB is not really dependent on size of the parts (nm).

Though with RAM that should have done more. Like you, getting past 1.1 GHz RAM has been incredibly difficult and completely unbenchable. Guess Ill be trying some DDR2-9200 next.

considering i bought it last year when ddr2 was still a noob,it is pretty good.it does 1090mhz benchable which aint too shabby for a £108 1gb kit.i am impressed with this patriot ram.i run it at 1000mhz 1:1 24/7 and its fine.

my cpu/board/ram will run higher but i am really happy with it a 3.5ghz with ram at 1000mhz 1:1.

i did get it to windows at 1120mhz but like yours it is incredibly hard to get it to bench that high.i think the highest i've had it to bench is 550mhz.

Indeed, i dropped USD300 on the 2gb kit in my box. Ive yet to get a bench at anything highter than this 540, but I also run my box at this speed 24/7 so I cant complain much. Anything more just does not make it.
