Well yesterday the girlfriend was going to the computer store to get my 2x 512 sticks of cosair ddr2 667 value ram tha came in on order....but when i get home i find ou that she gotten me 2x512s of OCZ high performance ddr2 667 ram...It was just a simple trade of my 1 gig stick for 2x512s to get my dual channel back...needless to say i was very happy...or is that ram good or the same as the corsair?

While it looks like you got a bargain swap, you are going to regret that 1GB to 2x512MB swap. You should have bought another stick to dual-channel to 2GB. When you are dual or quad coring... you've got lots of apps running, and they are going to choke on 1GB.

your girl brought you home OCZ hp-ddr2-667 ram.....instead of the corsair ddr2 667 value ram......what i dont understand is this 1gig stick....and getting your dual channel back...

if you got 2x512mb dual channel ocz ddr2 ram instead of the value ram for nothing out of pocket (for you at least) then with out research i would say sweet deal....i hope i understood what you said tho...:rockout:

LOL ...ram here at my stores is 169 to 179 bucks canadian so i cant afford to get another stick of 1 gig and thats for the corsair value ram(if i could i would) so to at least have dual channel my computer store let me swap my 1gig for 2x512s....the 2x512s were supposed to be only corsair value ram but instead the guys at the store were nice and gave her ocz high performance at no atra charge...even swap...hope that explains better...lol...and when i can afford another gig they will let me swap these 2x512s for a gig to have 2gigs...heck they let me swap y 8mth old IDE HD for a brand new sata HD

well i had to wait all day till my new HD came in right now im installing everything so ill have to wait and see
