Hello everyone, since the beginning of summer, i've been having really bad heat problems, with my motherboard reaching temperatures of 58 degrees celcius! i receive warnings and the onboard buzzer beeps consistently... i can't really solve the heat problem, but i was also wondering if this overheating may be the cause of my battlefield 2 game crashing, while hosting a LAN game. this crashing only happens randomly, but my PC has almost always been hot at those times... any feedback would be appreciated...

Yes most likley hosting a BF2 game is not a good idea for your system. BTW what part of southern hemisphere are you in?.

I'm in Sydney Australia, summer started today, but heat probs started about 2 months ago... and by 'hosting BF2 LAN games' i mean playing a single player game with one other computer connecting to the ip address... have a look at my system specs and their good enough for what i'm doing... i've got four chassis fans, and a pedestal fan sitting 6 inches in front of my tower blowing right over it... Current temp:55 degrees celcius

Maybe you should buy some Terminal past and redo the old stuff. If that dosnt work maybe look into better heat sinks or watercool.

Yeah ok, How old is your system? Have you ever removed the cpu fan/heatsink?

my computer i 1 year old, and i have removed heatsinks before, but was sure to maintain the right level of conductive paste between the heatsink and heatsource..! i've looked for watercooling systems, but have only found water cooling systems for CPU's, not for cases. i need to cool the air inside my case, however my CPU temp is always below 40 degrees... my room air temp in shade on hot days is 45 - 50 degrees...

How is it always below 40 if its beeping at you?

People in Saudi Arabia remove the case and bolt the guts to the wall in front of the Air Conditioner! I guess the only thing you can do is get the system in front of an air conditioner. Because there are no Case coolers. Or you can get a water cooler with a block for the video card and run an X-tra long tubing through a bucket of ice water, or fridge.

my CPU is below 40 degrees celcies, but my computer still beems at me because my motherboard is above 50 degress celcius, and if i'm not the only person to have motherboard heat problems, why isn't there a water cooling product out there to fix the problem..?

Good links guys, but are there any pc airconditioning units that do not extrude from my case, and don't involve me buying a new case..? (for example a cube 80mm x 80mm x 80mm with two fans on opposite sides, one of which screws into a standard fan port, and offers absolute zero temperatures)
