A lot of sites do that when stuff is out of stock, they raise the prices so people wont order them when they don't have them. Don't know why, but I've seen quite a bit at some other sites with new products.

999.99 is just a placeholder number... in fact, they really want to say "n/a" but there cheap website doesnt let them do it.

Obviously, if they advertised it at 0.00 or 1.00 then they would be in some trouble with all the orders.

If they did their homework, they would put the correct price on. Its very stupid to put 999.99 because NOONE would bookmark that page to buy from them.
