depends how much cash you have.

x800 series
x1950pro
6800GS/GT
7800GS, etc....

these are your better options, but if you look, you should be able to get 6800's quite cheaply

is my problem with battlefield due to it's engine? cause the graphics in halflife 2 and counterstrike blow battlefield outa the water and i have no problems playing them with it all turned up. im gonna buy a new vid crd soon just wanted to see if i could squeeze a bit more outa mine. i tried updating the bios on it but i already have to most recent one. and every program i have used to bump up the mem and core cause it to malfunction. any advise would be cool. :rockout:

What resolution are you running your games at?
Do you have 6 x AA + 16 x AF ?

with every game but Battlefield 2 i can run at 1280 by 1024 and all settings on high. they are Half life 2, Counter Strike Source, Rainbow six lockdown, and Call of duty 2. but for some reason i cant run Battlefield 2 at high res. yeah i have both enabled for Source games and it runs wonderfully, but with battlefield both are off. and to play BF2 online i have to run it all on low and at 800 by 600 which really sucks since it makes it hard/impossible to see far away. but with the Omega drivers i can play bf2 offline on high, so i guess it is better. need to get a new vid crd but no $$$ right now.

i think its the size of the textures in bf2 that make it slow. i used to have a 9600
and had to turn texture resolution (or whatever its called ) down.things u can do b4
new gfx card.omega drivers are ok - try catalyst 4.1.5.7 for a fps boost.also try
winborg xp (can i mention that) for a fps boost.

those should add 10-20 fps ,but youd need a better gfx card to play bf2 at max
