When playing games on my X700Pro or using ATITool the screen sometimes goes blank (my monitor thinks it's in powersave mode) and then comes back on. With ATITool the wait is about 1 second and it happens more often if I try to do stuff like browse the web while it's running. With something like Doom 3 they last as long as 10 seconds and when the screen comes back it is sometimes compressed or otherwise garbled.
I haven't modded or overclocked my card in any way, what do you think, bad card or possibly bad PSU?

also, recently ATITool is finding lots of artifacts within like 30 seconds of running, before (like yesterday) it would run for hours with no artifacts, just the screen blink. All I did inbetween was reinstall windows. GPU temp maxes out at about 54°C is this too hot?
