I'm interested in this card:

Has anyone used it? I would like to know how well it performs, if it's necessary to purchase a 3rd party cooler, etc.

Hi.

I don't really know how the card performs. I don't really think the extra 256 mb will help very much. It will give some advantage over 256 mb but not that much. But for the price i would buy a X1950 XT. Or else the normal X1950 pro.
The Arctic cooler works fine. But the stock cooler on the X1950 pro is crap. See you do need such a cooler.
I fitted both. Arctic's and the Zalman on my X1950 pro. I find the Zalman better and more good looking.

I couldn't manage to take those tiny screws on the stock cooler off my 1950 Pro...
