so i really want a 7600 i was going to go with a 6800 and i still might but 2 of my buds have one now and say its amazing and iv watched it play and its pretty amazing it blows my 9800 away and infact the only reason my card kinda keeps up is becuse of how modded it is. so my question is, is theyre a 256 bit 7600? the only ones ive seen have a 128bit interface and if that is all they have is t worth it will a 128bit in. really hit the preformance hard? and is their any way to unlock more pipes on the 7600?

Yep and nope!.....yep they only come in 128bit that I am aware of) and nope you cant unlock, they can overclock on stock very well tho but ignoring that, look at the performance and Bang for Buck, they are pretty good for what they are, they more or less managed to keep up with the stock 1800GTO when it was released (the GTO was a little faster) but that is no mean feat with a 128bit bus.

There is a lot of choice out there however at the moment but dollar for dollar the 7600Gt is pretty much near the top in the lower mid/lower sector, the new 1650Pro from what I have read is slightly slower, certainly no faster and a little more exspensive.

The 7600GT has a 128-bit wide memory bus.

Could go with the 1950PRO if you arent too cash strapped.

The Gt has 12 pixel pipelines, as does the GS the GS is basically a downclocked version which still has good overclocking potential.
