Is Prey any good

enh, i give it a 6or 7 outta ten, wazzle was right, its just like any other alien shoot em ups except this one has these little pathways you walk on that lead you up walls and on ceilings...

Fun for about an hour. Humorous too, but now its just another unused icon. FEAR is still the only fps that ive actually played all the way through with full enthusiasm

I have to disagree with the others, I would give it 8.5 outta ten. It was highly innovative with creatures, weapons , and gameplay. Better than doom or quake IMO. I don't think it was worth the 50 bucks I dropped on it, mainly because its so short. I would reccomend it for 39.99 or less.

It's a beautifully rendered game with decent gameplay. A lot like Doom3/Quake4, as mentioned above, with some little twists to the gameplay. Fun, but not on the top of my list. I'll go 7/10 for it. Would score higher, if it were longer. Honestly tho, if you don't already have it, I would pick up Quake 4 instead, it's about half the price, has graphics ever so slightly behind Prey, but offers more gameplay.

Yeah, not much more to add here, the portal systems adds a fun dimension (forgive the pun) to the otherwise bog standard Quake/doom style FPS. The graphics are pretty, and if u enable ultra uncompressed mode via config files, as well as unlocking widescreen settings things get that big nicer. Funny you should ask about prey as im replaying it since getting my x-fi fatal1ty proffessional soundcard, hmm, things sound pretty damn sweet now.:)
Id just wait till price comes down as it aint a must have tbh..

I loved prey I thought it was a bad ass game. The sounds effects are total different from on board and Xf-I which make all the difference in the world on how the game feels.
