looking for a cheep used pc for basic word and excel junk. Yes, it can be an ol' p3 less than G proc. Don't laugh, like i said cheep and good enough for basic window programs. so if you have an old p3 collecting dust i would be interested in buying it. Just need the pc not the screen and all the other junk. Tiger direct has one for a cheep price, but has no OS on it.

So some thing around that would be fine, but it would be nice to have Win installed.
:D BTW, do you remember when a 386 was a fast pc than the 486 came out and blew it away.:D

Why not buy one from the local paper? Such systems are quite cheap, $50 should be doable. Then again there are plenty of people who have such hardware lying around. (I do too, though shipping will cost too much compared to the value:))
Also, you live in a place called Lonsdale? That's pretty nice, do they sell Lonsdale shirts to tourists? Would be awesome to have such a shirt to provoke. Lonsdale brand is linked to racism here because some racists like to wear the brand, they cant say anything about my supposed holiday to Lonsdale, AR though :D Yes that's bad and evil, I know

I have a e-machines 1.2GHz witrh all the office crap and I upgraded the RAM to 512.
It needs a new PSU however, I put a old 200W that doesn't quite fit but works. I have been using it for folding but now it sits in storage with my collection of PC's.
Make a offer.

Go to the shadiest looking thrift store you can find, you can ususally pick up a halfway decent system for under $50 bucks.
