i just did a mod to 1.6 aparintly lol

an i got 1.920v heat it up but not unsafe idel at 31c

its a p4 1.8gh stock volt is 1.4v at stock power 2.4gh was max stable

so far at 1.9v im at 2.6gh

i only ask cus i get alot of nuts telling me if the v core is to high it shortens the life of the cpu wich i think is b.s long as u keep the temp below 50 at least i aim for under 40c of cores ther is a fry point that what i wana know how high can i go before it just cooks the cpu at power on lol

like my old celiron 1gig 1.7v that i tryed at 3.2volts died at power on no smoke nuthin just no boot an never did agean lol 2.8v was fine thow

Don't go past 1.7 on a Northwood. It'll die.

No its not funny... and you should realise that you have caused irreversable damage to the processor.
1.9V = Ur asking for a dead processor even if it doesn't get hot.

They don't instantly die, but you will see huge performance decreases if you leave it like that. DOWN THE VOLTAGE BACK TO STOCK, THE NORTHWOOD WILL NOT TAKE ANYTHING AROUND OR OVER 1.7V, THIS IS SERIOUS DO IT NOW, BECAUSE EVERY MINUTE IT IS TAKING DAMAGE

If you take what I just said as a joke, I don't even come back here and scream that your Processor died... Listen to advice from people and don't think its a joke.

k i get your point ppl but its not a comp i care about or evin run on a normal basis so let er burn i say lol i do find it funny to a point. im guna run it full time just to see how long it lasts if u know what fun is its taken a mobo thats being a bugger and my 120 volt 70amp welder an watch thows chips cook lmao or the car battrey charger at 12v 10amps lol just dont do it in side smoke bad for health an stinks like a bugger to but loads of fun. or how about taken a propain torch to a running celiron 700 an watch windows crash as the south brige chip falles off.great fun if u have that kinda time so yeah im not worryed cookin a lil p41.8 not like it exactly a fast chip eather

my old xp-3000 stock volt was 1.6v and was fine at 2.10v an 2.6gh for over a year only prob i ever had was heat

as long as u take into consideration thet the board needs work allso to compesate for the power boost

w/e... stop posting this stupid crap then on the forums, its offensive to some and if you go my advice is useless then keep this "lets fry a celeron" to yourself. This is a support forum, not one to show off your amazing feats. Please make some sense as well.
