One of my friends, and one of the websites that I work at is going for the 3dmark record again. I talked to him last night and he was talking about hopefully getting his hands on some nitro. As of now he has a phase charger hooked up on his CPU which is around -45c. He has had the top 3Dmark score in the past with the first person ever to hit the 3Ghz mark in the world. Its cool to see someone you know do very well in the OC arena.

As it sits now

So here is how it stands right now.

CPU Mark, 9th place in the world with the next three spots within range once I start overclocking my memory.

3DMark 06 Overall, I am out of the running on this until the other 8800 GTX arrives on Monday.

3D Mark 06 Single Video Card, I am 4th place right now in the single GPU catagory. I am running a Foxconn 8800 GTX on factory air at 630 MHz core and 1030 MHz memory. A XFX 8800 GTX XXX card will be here on Monday and that should put me in the top 10 for the overall 3DMark 06 ORB.

After everything arrives I will start trimming the system out with additional cooling and voltage to make a run at the overall record.

As always I would like to thank the sponsors:

Intel for the lovely Core 2 Extreme quad core processor (http://www.intel.com/products/processor/core2XE/index.htm).
