i have a onboard raid controler ati sb450 its sata1,
i didnt think this would make any difference when setting up a raid, however i have setup a a raid 0 array and im not happy with the improvement at all it doesnt seems any better then a normal sata1!!!!!
at burst speeds i get 124mb and my average read is 92mb!!
on my old asrock it had 1 sata2 connection and on each drive i got 192mb burst and 67mb average read so i know its sumit to do with the controler!!
what im asking is it a good idea to get a pci raid controler that is sata 2?? if so can you recomend any?
