ASUS P4P800 Deluxe

I have a ASUS P4P800 Deluxe motherboard with intel p4 3.0 800 fsb with ht. The problem I am having with this motherboard is it always has a lag problem. When I click on a program there is this wait and then the program starts. I have built celerions that I feel like will smoke this one. Any one got any ideals on this problem?

Wow dude sounds earily similiar and we have exact specs for our computer except I have 2 gb ram.Im not sure what to make of it either.I have the p5p800 also.Not sure what the difference is there either.Does your sound like an airplaine taking off when she gets all wound up?Mine does,not sure why that is either.I'll be looking for advice as well.
