hey guys this is prolly a dumb question but i think i can get better performance if i lower the multiplier and raise the FSB, you know. I think i need to put in a RAM divider to make it 1/1, but how do i do this? is it even possible with one stick of RAM? any help appreciated.

No such thing as a dumb question. I would drop the ram speed down to 166 and go from there.

It depends if your motherboard allows you to use RAM dividers. My DFI Lanparty Expert mb has that feature, and it allowed my to get higher OC speed and bandwidth performance by using higher fsb speed with lower multiplier and RAM divider. It shouldn't matter if you have 1 or more sticks of RAM.
