It depends on if that sub is magneticly sheilded, most are. I know for a fact that those old tower speakers aren't shielded.

Yep, the case will be sheilded. Most computer speakers are. My cheap walmart creative's are, I can put them right next to my monitor without effects, but I once had a tweeter out of my car near, and it distorted my monitor.

Yep, thats an aligator head. Something else that I have had for ages. A friend used to go down to florida and he brought that back to me. I have had it for a good 10 or 11 years now.

but I only have one now. the other one is in many many pieces. gotta revive it.

Yes, very sweet setup, love the double widescreens. It's got that dark fresh tech look to it, how the black goes nicely with the white/silver keyboard and mouse.

This is my computer room, in all its 3 dimensional glory... when the floors clean, i just spin around on my wheely chair changing from rig to rig as i desire ;)

(In case you cant tell, 1 is doorway view, panning right and shifting a little so that the door is just visible in the last shot)

And yes - i have dual 19" LCD as well :P

that ADA995 5.1 THX system was the best 80.00 (http://www.directron.com/ada995.html) i ever spent on my audio stuff ...

the speaker that looks like it is behind the LCD actually has a plenty of space to project ... and the center speaker is centered relative to where i sit. i keep my monitor a bit to the right so i can also see the other screen in the background (TV, etc. when working) ... relative to the sound field, though ... i'm directly in the center ...

the stock samsung mount, unlike the earlier 22" LCD's from samsung, did not allow for vertical adjustment.

and like you, i think that's a bit pricey ... but, considering the alternatives ... it's not so bad. read on:
