Yea, yea... plenty of people don't like Tomshardware, but here's an decent article:

Interestingly, Aero doesn't really eat up much extra wattage... some dissapointing results in games, but with time that will change with DX10 games and hardware.
Me, I'm sticking with XP at home for the next 6 months or more. At work, I'll have my test box loaded with it.
