Ok, I got a nice Abit AN8 32X for Christmas and I'm loving it except for one problem, the audio drivers. I'm currently using the Realtek but I hate the Realtek drivers and the sound manager looks like a 5 year old designed it. Anyway I have read about lots of people using the nVidia Audio drivers with their board but they don't work with mine. My old board was using exactly the same audio chipset and it ran with the nVidia drivers but this board wont and it's really starting to annoy me.
Anyone help?

Well, I have a SIMILAR mobo, & I don't mind RealTek AC97 sound, or the drivers (& I just use Windows own sound eq program, sndvol32.exe, to do any work as far as adjusting it)... but, to each his own.
I also had NO idea you could apply other drivers to RealTek stuff, & make it work, as far as drivers... this is news to me.
:)
* There IS an "option" for you, but you may not like it: Get a 3rd party PCI soundcard of somekind maybe?
APK
P.S.=> Not much of a "suggestion" imo either, but, best I had @ this point... apk

Well I did have a spare Soundblaster Live! but that's dead -_-
I've seen people on other forums say that they use the nVidia drivers on the same board and I don't understand why they can and I can't....
