Get a good antivirus for Vista, or else u'll be sry'ing urselves that y did u buy Vista.:wtf:

(( I've found something about Vista viruses, but don't ask me about that! Many virusmaking teams are working on viruses more damaging and sneaky. So, better watchout. sure get vista, but make sure u take a gd antivirus with you ;) ))
Or Else:nutkick: suffer the consequences.....

*This is not a hoax, lie, or just plain shit, a spied news directly from the virus makers...although i'm not 1of them, but i know few of them.... *

Man, I hate people like that. If they're doing it as "proof of concept", that's one thing, but if they plan to send it into the wild, then they need smacked around a little. I'll start praying to Joe Pesci now. lol

i haven't seen a virus since the introduction of Bittorent and don't use a software email program use the web based ones like gmail and such since most of them have more features then outlook and thunderbird

they're pro virusmakers, I sneaked up on them from their window, they were testing it on a vista home basic loaded pc, well...after that they were talking they will hide it on the net with some software, and a site(don't know what). thats all the info I have on them, so users get a vista compatible antivirus NOW.

That's part of the reason I did this thread here earlier last week:

http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?t=24399

To find out WHICH AntiVirus' progs work on VISTA, & to do some research on Windows Defender AND "OneCare Live"

Both work on VISTA, & so does AVAST @ this point.

(( I've found something about Vista viruses, but don't ask me about that! Many virusmaking teams are working on viruses more damaging and sneaky. So, better watchout. sure get vista, but make sure u take a gd antivirus with you ;) ))

I know a few myself, & see their point (oddly enough), but, for testing & proving a concept only... NOT for actual thieving purposes like ID Theft, cracking into banks (or other institutions etc.) & this is the WHO/WHAT/WHERE/HOW/& WHY of why I got into computer security in fact.

Met TRUCKLOADS of them on IRC years ago is why. They did 'bust into' my PC 2-3 times circa 1994-1997, & that put me on the road of "How to try to cut them off & beat them @ their own game" type of thinking + learning really.

btw, i've tried norton's symantec corporate, trend pc-cillin 2007, nod32 which had proved good antivirus for vista and many windows. But the clear winner was Nod32, for best detection and cleaning process :D

Report them. These (http://www.fbi.gov/cyberinvest/cyberhome.htm) guys don't care for the virus makers. Neither do I.

i have just switched to nod32.others seem to say its the best so i'll try it instead of avg pro.

is nod32 the best?

Nod32 is the best if you want low resources, although some think Kaspersky when on XP(resource hog), but my Nod32 has never ever ever given me a false positive.

Report them. These (http://www.fbi.gov/cyberinvest/cyberhome.htm) guys don't care for the virus makers. Neither do I.

The problem is, they are OUT THERE, all over the place... places like IRC have them on them for instance & they're NOT who you'd expect!

READ ON BELOW, to see what I mean!

APK

P.S.=> I don't know them personally (like I might know, for instance, my brother), but I have run into them over time, periodically online & yes, been victimized by them too as I noted above...

Good 'inspiration' to try to learn to protect yourself really!

One guy, & I have it LOGGED TO THIS DAY, was Mark Joseph Edwards (of Windows NT Magazine fame in fact)... CHECK IT:

Not who you'd expect eh? Don't fool yourselves, 'famous folks' do that madness too! I have that logged here, from IRC, since 1997 or so in fact... It's NOT like they wear "black hats" @ times guys. Sometimes, it's the "white hats" too.

He kept showing up in my logs & I used "NetScan Tools Pro" (licensed user of them here) to find out, WHO THE HECK IT WAS DOING THAT TO ME... that's what showed up!

How do you think the guys that DO security, LEARN about it in the first place? Trying it @ times maybe?? That's right... apk

It's only slightly worse than NOD32 in that respect, but still better than the rest of them.

i've tested most ativiruses, so here's a pro ranking for ppl who're gonna buy -

1. Nod32 (9/10) It's interface needs a work, thats it ;)
2. Kaspersky (8.5/10) all around best av, but still slightly incompatible w/ xp 64 and vista.
3. McAfee 8in1 2007 Internet Security (8/10) Resource hog ! otherwise gd :D
4. Trend PC-Cillin I.S 2007 (6/10) Nice detection, but biggest resource hog !!wouldn't recommend to anyone...
5. Norton I.S 2007 (6/10) Cool interface than last versions, but who's goona care for interface when it's a norton av product :P (btw symantec corporate does better than this)

avg pro v7.5 works on vista ok.

Good to know. I've been using AVG for some time now. I'm not sure how motivated I am to install Vista though. :ohwell: Does it dual boot with XP and play nice?
