ATI Catalyst 4.8

Today ATI released version 4.8 of their Catalyst Driver Suite.
Among various fixes, performance improvements of up 1-5% for Direct3D and 1-12% for OpenGL are claimed.

only playing Doom3 at this time..

But ATI is increasing performance very well now.. 1-5% D3D 1-12% OGL.

Don't you think Ati shouldn't have released 4.8 at all? I mean, they even posted 4.9 beta for download way before 4.8 were ready :confused:
