I want to be amazed by graphics. What's a game?

Hi,
I want to play a game that look EXTREMELY good. I alreayd have oblivion and surpreme comander and I know they look good but I want other games that also do. I have an Athlon 3800+ X2, X1650 Pro and 1gb dual channel ddr2 667 ram. I know oblivion is the best graphiced game that exists but I want to know number 2,3,4,5,6,7 and so on in the list. Is there a site that shows the highest recomanded requirments for any game or says the top 10 graphiced games etc...? If so plz giv me link. Otherwise just tell me. What are the top few games graphics wise.

I just completed Dark Messiah might and magic, thats pretty nice for eye candy, and if ur cards good enuff its breathtaking for HDR, if you play it you will know what I mean, and the lopping off of arms and heads is a bonus oblivion just doesnt offer :p, saying that im onto my 6th game of oblivion, just cant put it away hehe

Company of Heros. I find F.E.A.R. has nice physics and eye candy STALKER has great graphics but not the best plot from what I read.

Dude they have good graphics, but nothing "spectacular"

CS:S runs on an MX440, i think Josh wants something that has a minimum of like 8800GTX SLi :D LOL

I always find Tom Clancy games look very good, but need a good system. Rainbow Six Vegas is damn sweet, but due to the crap port from Xbox 360 to PC, it needs a REALLY high end computer (not that it needs one for the graphics, it just was ported over badly). But, it still looks good :D

F.E.A.R looks nice....but Unreal Tournament 2k7 will look uber mad when it comes out :D (needing a 6800 SLi to run max settings :))

Prey, Dark Messiah,C:SS, Quake 4, Doom 3, GRAW\

1-personally Dark Messiah is the most obsessive game i have ever played for singleplayer.
2-CSS is the best mofo game for multiplayer seeing that its a mulitplayer game.
3-Prey was addicting for me but it has a short storyline, loved singleplayer
4-Doom 3 has great graphics, prey & quake 4 run on the same graphic system, and has a dark,evil, and fearful feel to it.
5-GRAW has great graphics but i don't like the gameplay that much
6-Quake 4 has great graphix but i stopped playing just cuz i couldnt figure out how to beat one of the lvls

Most of the latest games have excellent graphics, hence the requirement of a powerful VC to be able to display it.

Everyone already mentioned most of the games with good graphics, but I also have to say Day of Defeat: Source. I think it's better than CS:S too, just because I've been playing CS:S for so long already.

fear had an awesome atmosphere true.
But it felt a bit stagnated. There were only like 3-4 different types of enemies :(.
I was expecting more variety. Its combat environments were well thought up though :)

Yeah FEAR had awesome gfx, but gameplay wasnt as good as expected.

It seems alright, got 8.2 in us and 8.9 in Aus(different raters).... Fear got 9.2 by the way. Is fear mainly online like BF and CS? Or is it more like Half-Life and Halo etc...

Yeah how is the actual gameplay (not graphics) of stalker? Game play is quite good. (Once you feel it up a little bit)It's hard, but it's good. the AI is very smart, the guns behave pretty much like the real thing, and they all perform differently. I found a few glitches and bugs, but overall well worth buying. It is so visually stunning I can over look the few bugs it has. There was one spot I found while wandering around way off the beaten path where I actually fell through and out of the game! I was looking up at the map and had to restart it from my last save. lol It's also very, very erie and creepy. reminds me of the way DOOM3 was when it first came out. there are some spots that made me jump out of my chair! lol... It is also an open game like Oblivion, you can pretty much go anywhere you want to in the world. I added some more screenies buy the way, check 'em out. Also those screenies were taken with everything maxxed out.:rockout: i give the game a 8.5. It'll get 10/10 once they patch it.

Goto Sierra and register for yr FREE copy of FEAR combat, it's the multiplayer part of FEAR. Extraction point was a pretty decent add on for FEAR, check it out! Why not give far cry a rip with everything up full to get you in the mood for Crysis? :D

EDIT - those graphics (thanks for the new screenies :D) look awesome :) hey thanks.:D And as far the strategy of STALKER you have to adapt, some times you go balls out other times evade if you can.
