Last week i installed the via Enhance Ide drivers to get more out of my old Pc
but they Destroyed Windows Xp Sp2 in a second
After the Reboot Windows only went into a blue Screen
The Problem was Drive image V2I Protector Task
and the NTFS File System  ??
I found out that there are many useres with the same problem but no Solution because removing
is Totally impossible ??

Driver version was 1.20b or something
Via will integrate them soon  in their Driver Pakage
(Hopefully NOT!!)

Don't install it because via leaves Their clients without help and Provides Beta Drivers

I'm totally angry to provide such a Driver and would like to hear your Comments or Expiriences
And Hopefully a solution

Final will most likely be fixed, as you stated a lot of people have the problem so VIA must be aware.

I've read throught the forum at via, but there were just disapointed people who all had
the same problems and the Via tech supporter just made replys like "it will be fixed soon" ,
but the driver is still out on their Page for Download and I just want to WARN everybody with an Via Board to stay away because the next Driver was in Betastatus ??? (Techsupport says that)

I rarelly don't want to know if the next driver is better because i've see that the members there
tryed to get a tool out of the Techsupp. or the next driver to get their sytem running again.

I made a reinstall of my System because i had a HD Image+Dos tool
but for those whithout these options it would be mad to install it because Windows
isn't abel to install any driver after manual removing.
