Yesterday i was feeling like spending some money.:D
As i am planning for a full system upgrade i thought that new hardware must have a nice new home.

I looked online for the best case for about 100 euro. And i came up with the Antec nine hundred. With the huge cooler on the top and three 120 mm casefans. Costing 15 euro each. it must have excelent airflow.

3Dgameman rated this as a KICKASS product so it must be good. LOL

I did not wan't to wait a few days for delivery so i went to my lockal shop.
The thing is they have alot but not in stock. You always have to order and wait a few days.:shadedshu. But my luck, they had it in stock for 103 euro's
Decided to go for it an picked it up. First thing i noticed was the HUGE box. People actually laughed at me when i walked out of the store.
It scared me a bit because the case was rated as midi tower case.:p

When i came home. I could not wait to take a look at it.
Once out off the box the case was not really that big as i feared. First impression was good.
Looking at the paintjob i could not really say i am very pleased with that but it will do.
It's not a flat shiny finish.:ohwell: Also a bit overspray on the inside of the sidepanels.
And the panels feel a bit flimsy. Those points along with the crappy fan-controlers are a little bit disappointing. But overall it a great case. Easy installation off the hardware and the big fan at the top :rockout: .

I am planning to spray the inside black and my X1950XT is coming this week, together with the Aerocool Gatewatch or Powerwatch in black.:D

If you run it smart then i think it will do. At the moment i have my old X800XL in my case because the pro fried. And i have no real problems. All my hardware is working good.
maybe try before you buy.;)

That's a nice case you have there, bud. Here's an advise though, if you continue leaving the case like that on the desk with the back of it blocked by the wall, chances will take damage and hardware failure inside the case will occur. Give it some space between the wall, and the back of your PC so mr. evil hot-air can get out, would ya? :)

Um, the poster above didn't seem to notice the huge F'ing fan that's at the top of the case. I don't think heat buildup could possibly be an issue.

Having seen the case in person (help the guy tidy up his cables), It seemed pretty nice. I really liked how the window did not espose the drive bays (a pet peeve of mine).

wow thats pretty nice. good temps with that one, i assume?

quick question: is it loud? it seems like it would be with all those fans...heh.

and i actually almost went the same route as you today. except i got an antec p180b w/ vista as of today. i'm happy with both so far...

I could have gone for the P180 but my psu won't let me because the p4 cable is to short.
The case btw is not whisper quiet but acceptable. Al the fans are at low speed.

You could take another wack with cable work, zipties or cable wraps...

like any bottom psu case, that 4 pin is always too short to reach. Some Companies such as dfi or abit are starting to put the connector low on the board.

very nice no the less!

ha i'm running into that problem right about now. had to buy extension cables and crap.... and build a custom extension for the 4pin. bah.

I have had this case for about a month, and let me tell you. Its cool and quiet and awesome. PLenty of room for whatever you have to throw in it. I replace my old system with a new case, mobo (2x), proc (2x) and memory. ITs an absolute dream. The case is plenty airy and roomy and not cramped at all. The fans have built in controllers, little switch to move from l to m to H, but thats not bad. I have mine set to high and they are still cool. Got a side fan and mounted it blowing out. Coupled with the 20CM fan on top (also with a control speed switch and very very very quiet on high) its runs great. My cpu is around 23C-i and 29c-l my nb is like 32C and my gpu is like 45C with the AC on it. Overall, one of the best cases out there.
