Okay, my system was running good with my x850xt. I installed my x1950pro and everything was alright until I installed the ATI software that came with it. It after the restart, it went to the windows loading screen and then went to a black screen where it would normally show the desktop. I tried uninstalling all ATI software, used DC Pro, defragmented, then reinstalled. Same thing happened. Then, I just refmormatted my hard drive thinking that would fix any bugs. Nope, same thing happened. For some reason, after installing the ATI CCC software it just won't boot to desktop. Any thoughts?

Are you using an old monitor? older BIOS revisions on X1950 Pro cards are known to have that problem. A newer BIOS is available from ATi addressing the issue.

I don't think it's that old. Possibly 4 years at most. I can go to ATi's website to get the BIOS revision?
Edit: Okay, I grabbed a friend's monitor across the hall and it worked, therefore answering my question; it is my monitor that's the cause. So how do issue the BIOS revisions, anybody?
