I want o buy this for my Gecube 1950 Pro 512mb but http://www.arctic-cooling.com/vga2.php?idx=90 say's you also have to buy a 'voltage regulator heat spreader' as well. is this really necesary as no one in the uk sells this.

Thanks

IMO the Zalman VF900 is a much better purchase along with a few tweakmonster heatsinks for that bloody vitec\pulse chip.

Eh? Ket, you are brewing a disaster because those chips dont need heatsinking.... the chips next to it need heatsinking, they'll literally fry if I didnt appear and the guy already installed it. The AcceleroX2 now comes with the VRM plate anyway. VF900 CU is so expensive to use on the X1950PRO... check my clubhouse database, youll find what im talking about.

thats what they are. But on the powercolor model they are heatsinked by better ceramic heatsinks. If you dont heatsink the chips that I mentioned and heatsinked the VTEC and pulse, seriously, I dont know if you can get an RMA.

EDIT: Hey Ketxxx, the Gecube doesnt have VRMs.. it uses capacitors T_T. If you dont have money, the AcceleroX2 is on par. The Gecube doesnt need the VRM plate ish.
