Hi,

Here a methode for Flashing a XpertVision X1950GT Super 512MB @ XpertVision X1950Pro Super 512MB

Warning:

-Before Flashing, be sure your X1950GT works fine with X1950 Pro Clocks so: Core=573.75 Mhz and memory=688.5 Mhz using ATI WINCLK 5.22 for overclocking ant atitool 0.27b1 for testing stability wwith artefacts scanning tool.
-Nothing & Nobody in the world could be responsible if you damage your card using this flashing methode

The tools:

- ATI WINCLK 5.22 for overclocking your X1950GT
- ATITOOL 0.27b1 for stability testing
- Rabit V2.2.1 to check the bios
- Atiflash 3.25 for flashing under DOS
- 2 bios XpertVision X1950GT Super 512MB & XpertVision X1950PRO Super 512MB

Theses tools are in an archive Winrar called Flash XPV X1950GT@Pro downlaodable at this link: http://rapidshare.com/files/23533757/Flash...GT_Pro.rar.html (http://rapidshare.com/files/23533757/Flash_XPV_X1950GT_Pro.rar.html)

The Flash:

1-be sure your X1950GT works fine with X1950 Pro Clocks so: Core=573.75 Mhz and memory=688.5 Mhz using ATI WINCLK 5.22 for overclocking ant atitool 0.27b1 for testing stability wwith artefacts scanning tool.

2-make a bootable disk using windows

3- Next, Copy theses 4 file on the boot disk: atiflash, atiflash.chg , RV570GT.bin and RV570PRO.bin
Note:
- RV570GT.bin is the original bios af the XpertVision X1950GT Super 512MB PCI-Ex
- RV570PRO.bin is the original bios af the XpertVision X1950PRO Super 512MB PCI-EX

4- Uninstall Atitool & ATI drivers & reboot your computer

5- The computer reboot in dos mode so:

==>This command erase your originally bios and write the X1950Pro bios

6- Reboot your computer and put off the boot disk

Enjoy !

Note

This methode was only tested with a XpertVision X1950GT Super 512MB
Theses bios should work for Palit X1950GT Super 512MB : TO CONFIRM but the flashing command could be different......

Stock Palit \ Xpertvision BIOS' are not very stable or of very good quality at all. Most users will probably want to try my modded Xpertvision \ Palit BIOS if having problems, which sadly most owners of these cards do. Unstable when the fan is set to 100%, poor stock clocks reliability, even worse when OCd, and very poor OC potential due to poor timings. My modded BIOS makes an attempt at correcting most these problems.

Hi,

I saw your Topic: GG for your job ;) I found the X1950PRO Bios on this topic :)
I'm going to try your modded bios to show if my card could be most overclocked but'i'm a little afraid because my xpertvision card has Quimoda GDDR3 .

I hope to make the BIOS much better, but it will take time. I at least want to make it so Xpertvision \ Palit cards equipped with 1.1 or 1.2ns memory get a stable 1.62GHz memory OC. The supply voltage to the memory on these cards is more than sufficient. Official specifications rate 1.1 - 1.2ns memory for a max voltage of 2.1v, Xpertvision \ Palit cards volt the memory at 2v.

The modded BIOS should be ok for your Quimonda memory, I looked at a BIOS from an Xpertvision equipped with Quimonda memory and all timings were identical, only memory refresh rate was different, and that difference was marginal.

sweet write up!

i have a q tho: will this do anythin other than permanently change the clock speeds? would an x1950pro clocked at X mhz mem and Y mhz core beat an x1950gt clocked at same mem and core? (ie does it unlock pipelines, use tighter timings on the memory, etc?) i don't know and was just curious

also, lol, I'm not responsible if i flash it wrong? sweet!!

sweet guide tho :)

Nope, they will be exactly the same in all aspects and hence, get the same results :).

lol an X1950GT IS an X1950 PRO, just with the lower clocks.

Hi,

I try your modded bios on my XpertVision X1950GT Super 512MB with X1950Pro clocks so Core=573.75 Mhz and memory=688.5 but i found some issues:

1- The catalyst overdrive panel could not be loaded
2- Crash on the first second of 3DM05 :(

I think your bios doesn't work on a XpertVision X1950GT Super 512MB with Quimoda Ram

Flashing Palit X1950GT @ X1950Pro with Qimonda memory:

a:\Atiflash -p -st 0 rv570pro.bin -f

With pamameter "-atmel" or "-sst" atiflash reports error 0FL01.
