Ermm i little problem when i go to sign up it say connecting to server the says "the server has refused the connection"

Chances are that EA is doing maintenance.

Make sure you installed the latest patch...and that your firewall is configured for it.

Like KTR said,..be sure to configure your firewall.Turn it off once to test.
Also,..in game network setting helps ping {I have noticed}is set to cable or t-1.
Do you have Northern strike?Will it run?

OK this happened to me:

I bought the full version (dvd) w/ all the add-ons sf, eu, af, and all the patches (1.41).

I got that message when I was trying to create a player. The game would lock up. And come back with server refused connection

If this is happening for you, here's what happened and how to fix:

When I installed the game and it finished bf2, it asked me if I wanted to restart. I said YES...
For some reason, when you answer yes it screws up the other 5+ things its trying to install. Happened to my bro too.

Just unistall the game and all profiles. Delete the EA folder in program files, and battlefield folders in my documents.

Reinstall the game...BE SURE TO ANSWER NO TO THE REBOOT QUESTION.

It should work after that...kinda quirky

Well tried today and still not letting me
