Automated Flash Utility X850PRO VIVO AGP (R481)

Need a little help tried to mod my x850pro from 12 to 16 pipes using the automated flash utility. I followed all instructions copied the required info on to a cd and rebooted into ms-dos a menu screen appeared and I selected an option and hit enter and I got an error message that read DOS/32A fatal (4003) not enough extended memory to load application exe "A:\ AT. I Have read a lot of the treads on this site and thought this was easiest way to mod my card meets all the specs required for mod. Also ran ATI Tool and be overclocked to 570.

I used to have a boot CD from an ISO I downloaded that had 4-5 different settings, made it the easiest flash I've ever done!!! You could run stock speeds, xt speeds, xt pe speeds, have it read as pro/xt/xt pe. I got my x850pro w/AC ATI rv 5 cooler up to 562/620 if I remember correctly. Unlocked the pipes, I had the same 0x FFFFFFFF 0x FFFFFF9F strings so you should be good to go. Search for that boot CD (the dude who made it went by the name of DOLF, search that too)...if I find the ISO file I'll send it to ya! Do get the cooler though, unlocking the extra 4 pipes will make the GPU run a bit warmer, and OC-ing it will cause some serious heat!

See if you can contact Dolf...that utility I believe is different from the one you used...but it may be the same. Good luck!

Hey thanks for the good info I had already tried to use the utility from Dolf but ran into problems in dos so I searched and flashed the bios with a boot cd that I found on one of otrocarlosmas threads worked great I went from x850 pro to 850xt and also unlocked the other 4 pipes. I also bought a AC ATI ver2 5 cooler and a AC Freezer 64 pro for my cpu now I'm running like a champ 567/690 cpu from 2.4 to 2.8.

567/690(1380)...I'm jealous:laugh: Mine artifacts about 552 core and 640 or so on memory. I have it at 540/611 now to avoid extreme heat. Card stays under 70c..think I saw 74 max one time.

Mine ran 32 idle, 55 load with the AC cooler on it...it was a great card at the time.
