more odd ram findings cash setting on difernt types of ram like bga/tsop

ok i got 1 ocz value ram ddr400 512mb to replace 2x 256 sticks i ram,d an actuly seas ocz on the chip so i was like cool

an as in my specs i have 2x 512 [bga] style ram sticks ddr1 [400mh] stock speed

so any way

i got the 2 bga style sticks rated at ddr400 3.3.3.8 5.ns [bga]

an the ocz stick ddr400 rated at 2.5.4.4.8 5.ns [tsop]

an 3x infineon ddr400 3.3.3.8 5.ns [tsop]

all sticks ar 512 mb

so i start testing the ocz stick lowering the cash setting at ddr400

an i was amazed at 1tcomand an 2.3.3.6

so i put my bga chip in wouldent boot then i thout wtf ill try my infineon stick an it booted an runs as good as the ocz stick

now the funny part is on fsb speeds my bga ram rules all [but they dont like tight timeings]

i can hit ddr533mh with high cash settings 2t command rate an 3.3.3.6 thats with the [bga ram]

now the [tsop] ram maxes fsb around 230fbs real or 460ddr but will run lower timeings evin at ddr400 y is that?

an du u guys think my ocz stick would run dule channel with 1 of my infineon sticks

an whats better for over all gameing [low cas at like ddr440] [or high cas at ddr533] all the benches im doing dont see a big change [u do if u run the sticks stock thow]

went to dule channel usen the ocz stick an 1 infineon stick had to up the cash a lil an voltige but i exspected that

ouch an my benches ar lower runnen dule channel if i use sandra soft the mark goes up but its about dubble the single mark wich makes me think its fake like some dule core an sli marks

now im rilly confuised lol the bench mark program im usen is [pt] perofmince test v5.0 i dident like the newer one


damn i never thout ill use 3dmark 2003 to test dule channel see if it does do any thing

ill do 1 gig 2 sticks runnen single channel an then try dule [of corse ill be useing the same timeing for single chanel an dule

ok both tests ar running ram speed of 210mh real so 420ddr

test 1 [single channel 2 sticks] 12722 kinda weak but im allmost runnen stock so

test 2 [dule channel 2 stick 12905

ok just went from 1 gig of ram to 2gig an wow my benchmarks came up lower but that dont mean shit


so i opened test drive unlimited an wow it loads allmost instantly now im guna keep runnen thes 4x 512 stick till i get my 2x ocz 1gig

rite now im runnen 4x 512 sticks @ 210mh ddr420 an farly low cas settings

i allso turned OFF PAGE FILE all together

running [3x infineon 512mb sticks(5ns) ] an the one [ocz 512mb stick (5ns)] all running dule channel

i personaly like running lower fsb with an low cas. cus i find at the higher fsb.s the ram gets hotter [an not so much so getting allmost the same mem marks

like i can get the same marks usen sandra soft or [pt] runnen

the bga ram 263 fsb. cas at 2t.c 3.3.3.6 i get 5800mb.s in sandra soft

the tsop ram 210 fsb. cas at 1tc 2.5.3.3.6 an gets 5650-5750
