memory relapping

sorry cant change thread name it's called memory remapping


i often wonder what this does i know when i turn it on my system memory goes from 2900mb
to 2047mb
also window experience index on memory goes to 5.9 with it on from 5.2
and the 3d bussiness gaming goes to 5.9 with it on from 5.7

could someone tell me what this opition does i think it's good so i will keep it on but i do loss 900mb of ram

What OS and where'd you find that option? Sounds like some sort of Cache???

vista or xp it a option in the bios in the chipset options
enabled-allow remapping of overlapped pci memory above the total physical memory
